November 2012

Novembeard.
Jon Grew a beard in October and shaved it in stages. I convinced him to keep the mustache for a day because I thought it was hilarious. He couldn't stand to keep it any longer than that though.

We had an early snow and Jon and the kids built this tower and tunnel

I helped the kids build this one

Spring Creek elementary had freedom week and some service men from the Army came and did a flag ceremony and let the kids climb through some of their vehicles. It was really cool but there was not much organization and it was crazy. The lines were long to get into the drivers seat. Daniel waited in line for a long time and right when it was Daniel's turn to get into one the bell rang. He was really sad but obedient and went to get in line for his class. I asked his teacher if I could take him out and let him have a turn. He got to be the only one in the Jeep and the guy even showed him how to start it. (made me emotional)

We also took a trip to the dinosaur museum.

Jon thought it would be funny to take a picture of me in front of this dinosaur so I would have horns.

The sand and water erosion table was super fun. I was really glad they had a sink and soap to wash our hands after we were done though.
The kids also loved sweeping and shoveling to unearth the skeletons.

October 2012

October is always a fun month. We had Family pictures taken by a friend of mine.

I taught my kids how to do the spider swing.

Daniel looks at the pictures now and thinks they are awkward which is probably good, but they were really cute and funny at the time.

We got a new pressure cooker, it is awesome and makes some yummy food.

Jon got a centrifuge so he can spin juice out of things and experiment with it. He has made some fun things with it and some gross things with it. The strawberry floats were our favorite.

And of course we carved pumpkins, went trick-or-treating, and ate a ridiculous amount of candy.

We also had a great deal of fun playing in the beautiful leaves in the back yard.

September 2012

Daniel had glasses! Daniel's eye exam at school indicated that we needed a profesional eye exam and he would probably need glasses. We took him in to Walmart's vision center and I really liked the doctor there. He did a great job helping Daniel to feel comfortable and explaining things. Daniel has a bit of a lazy eye that we are supposed to use a patch in the evenings to help correct. I think he looks great in glasses. He picked these himself.

August 2012

Our hard drive crashed so I don't have our pictures from January through August which is really sad. If you want to see what we did the first half of 2012 you'll have to look me up on FB. We did some fun things like go to California for spring break, go hiking, make some fun birthday shirts for Jon's birthday, and somehow I didn't post anything for Daniel's birthday, but I have pics of Leah's Giant teddy bear.
I guess I will start with our new couch that we got for our anniversary. And my pretty flowers.
Here is our first couch. In the last 10 years of our marriage  we have managed to find a lot of free furnature. We have been lucky to have had a few great free couches.  It was very fun to be able to choose our own couch from the store this time though. The kids love it and Leah immediately started making forts with the pillows.

I also got some pretty flowers. Thanks Jon!
Also in August Daniel Started 1st grade! Yikes!
and Leah made her fingernails beautiful with Marker. This was a big adjustment for us all. Daniel being in school all day means that he had less time to play and Leah and I see a lot less of him. We missed him a lot.

Leah, very proud of coloring her fingernails with markers
Daniel drew this great picture of Fineus. Sorry it is sideways.
