My big five year old! 1/11/2011

January 11

We celebrated the birth of our son Daniel James Passey. He is five years old and we love him so much. Daniel had a great time on his birthday. We had family, cake balloons and presents! What more can you want?

*warning: there are a ton of pictures.

Snow and a black eye 11/13/2010

We got a lot of snow and the kids had a blast, shoveling, playing, and getting buried in it.

Daniel sat on the top of the snow hill while Joe and I
shoveled/ snow blowed he got a little buried.
Leah was a big help with the shoveling
Daniel took a break from being buried to test his scooter
Leah discovered that If you get stuck you can always
grab a bite to eat
She waded all the way out there by herself. Quite the
feat in deep snow and a snow suit.
Daniel showing me the snow ball he is about to throw at me.
Yum!!
Daniel trying to give Leah some help up the snow hill.

The snow this winter was crazy. It snowed another foot while we were out there shoveling.

And just for fun and documenting purposes. Here is Jon and his lovely black eye that he got from standing up, turning around and walking right into a beam. Ouch.

Christmas 2010

Somehow I can't find many of my Christmas day pictures... The days before Christmas I spent a lot of time making stuffed animals out of gloves and socks. I made a tiger for Daniel, a doll for Leah, a chipmunk for eden and a lion for William. I made a dog, an elephant, some fish and mice, it was quite fun and I was a bit obsessed. I also made aprons for Leah and Eden that turned out really cute, and fuzzy blankets for Daniel and Leah. I guess this was kind of a crafty Christmas for me :) We had a lot of fun with our visiting family. We are still living with my parents so every one came to see "us". James and Macie spent the night and every one else showed up at some point. I was really nice to see and play with every one. If I had written this post closer to Christmas I would probably have something more profound to say but I don't so you will have it imagine how lovely it was "unless you were here of course"

Doll. You can see his rocket in the background.
My funny kids. They like to be close (sometimes)

The aprons, the Lion, the doll, the fish, the chipmunk
and the mice that I made. And of course cute silly Leah

Pumpkin Carving! 10/29/2010

Love Carving Pumpkins and Halloween!

Leah Got to poke things into her pumpkin she had a lot of fun pulling the pieces out and putting them back in again.
Daniel was not sure if he liked digging the snotty slimy guts out, but he was very brave and determined!
Jon and his Giant cannibal pumpkin. I really thought that the small pumpkin was a nice touch.

Daniel Had a lot of fun making Jack-o-Lantern Faces! ha ha

Leah making her own kind of pumpkin face .

Leafy snowman in October 26/2010

The kids were so excited when we got snow. We had to hurry out and make a snowman before it melted. It was just perfect for packing snow together and kind of funny because he ended up covered in leaves. Daniel made one of the balls all by himself and Leah had her own small one to push around too. So much fun!

We started in the backyard and rolled the balls to the front to get more snow.

The Zoo 8/27/2010

We went to the zoo in September. It was really fun, the kids had a lot of fun looking at all of the animals, especially the monkeys and elephants. They also liked climbing on the statues and enjoying their cousins.

I forgot my regular camera so all we have is videos. The blogger player is poor quality so maybe i'll try something else.

The next one you have to pay attention right at the beginning to hear Leah say Arangatan(I have no idea how to spell this). It is really cute.

Last video of us trying to get a good picture of all of the kids in front of this wall. It is quite comical actually.
